Discus Lovers to Discus Haven’s web site
Discus
Haven, based in Auckland is a home based business selling locally
bred Discus to the general public and Pet and Aquarium outlets
throughout New Zealand.
Having
kept Discus for a total of 25 years it was in the mid 90’s
that I decided to start breeding them seriously and it was
at this time that Discus Haven was established. Although in
existence for nearly 10 years it wasn’t until late 2004 that
a move to new premises created the motivation to invest time
and money into the breeding of Discus again.
The
new fish room utilises 10 breeding tanks and houses a varied
range of colours including Blue Diamond, Leopard, Marlboro
Red, White Diamond, Pigeon Blood and Red Melon to name but
a few. At any given time young Discus are available in 4 or
5 different colours, (request a price list for current availability)
and by the end of 2005 hopefully this number will increase
to around 10 as new additions reach maturity and pair off.
It
is my hope that the pleasure I gain from keeping and rearing
these wonderful fish can be passed on to many others throughout
New Zealand in the form of good quality affordable Discus.
